Putin’s unprovoked war on Ukraine is impacting innocent civilians in ways which were unthinkable for a European country in the 21st century.
Just a few months ago at the start of 2022, Ukraine was a vibrant, expanding, optimistic country.
Now 10 million of its people are displaced, with half of that number scattered around other European countries. The others are stuck in a limbo state of accommodation and employment. Uncertain when they can return to the homes they were building, and the lives they were leading, they wait, fearing that they will be the next unlucky ones to suffer life-changing injury or death.
National infrastructure is severely damaged, and access to basics such as healthcare is fraught, with state resources focussed on defending the country.
help4ukraine seeks to ease this abominable tragedy, principally by arranging transport of medical supplies to trusted organisations.
